True Love Waits Rings?

At my church we are doing a 6 week session on True Love Waits. At the end we have a banquet if you buy a ring you take the pledge infront of your parents, peers, God, and our pastor. I have been wanting to get a True Love Waits Ring to show others I have made that commitment and to remind me of that promise in any situations I souldnt be in. What re your feelings on them? Do you think its a good way to keep yourself in check and let any guy you go out with to know you have that commitment?
