Need clarification on inelastic collision?

Actually for energy to be conserved it has to be elastic as appose to inelastic (either inelastic or complete inelastic). Since they won't stick together (the two mes) i would rule out complete inelastic. From the looks of your observations, I would say it's elastic. but what you have to make sure is that no energy was lost in the collision, i.e sound (was there a noise when the two pucks collided?) This would mean some energy was lost and the collision is inelastic? hope that helps
