Why my guy do the way he does? urgent help plz?

Why my guy do the way he does? we have dated for 8 months now since then he doesnt buy me anything even if i ask or ask him of money he will not give me rater he will give me an excuses, ok one day i compalined about his attitude towards me he said that he is a man he has good plan for me that i should not worry that he is going to surprise me oneday i kept quit but am still worried about his unconcerned towards me he doesnt do any thing i ask him to do, what do you thing this guy is upto? please help cos i want to broke up with him. but i love this boy very much and likewise him but i dont know why he is behaving the way he does and what will i do.
