:::::Court, Tickets,Improper Plates::::::::::?

My mom and her friend gave me my first (my own) car earlier in the month because i had good grades and what not....well i was under the impression that the car was legal to drive...well i got pulled over because the cops randomly ran my plates, and the plates came up belonging to another car ( my moms friends other car) i guess she accidently mixed up the plates somehow or whatever...so i got the car towed and got a civil infraction for no proof of insurance, and a misdiminor ticket for improper plates.......so i immediatly the same day went and got the car from the inpound $240...and two days later when the secretary of state DMV opened.. i got insurance, License plate registration and tabs.....like i seriously didnt know the car was illegal to drive...so i immediatly got the car 100% legal after fiding out.....now my question is, will the judge be lieneint with me and excuess the tickets after showing that i immediatly got the car legal? proving that i didnt know it was illegal in the first place?....because im a security officer and if i get any ticket at all i will get fired..so im hopeing the judge will excuess it..
